Happy, jolly actress, Calabar Chic, opens up about her struggle with depression and suicide as a result of rape.
A few months ago, Steph Isuma, recognised for her hilarious Calabar character portrayed online which earned her the name Calabar Chic, recently admitted that she was undergoing depression.
The versatile actress, who admitted in an interview to using comedy to cover up her fights with depression, said it weighed heavily on her most times.
She revealed she was raped as a teenager by someone close and has since battled with living her life. The actress cum comedienne recently turned 28 and recounted how grateful she has been for every encounter in her live. Although talented and jovial, Steph isn't highly celebrated neither is she given enough credits for her diverse interpretation of characters.
