How ex-Health Minister Adewole’s son was kidnapped.
Some unknown armed men kidnapped Dayo Adewole, the son of the immediate past Health Minister, Prof. Isaac Adewole, on Tuesday night.
The security operatives and local hunters have begun a manhunt for the gunmen as the kidnappers were yet to contact the family of the victim.
The former minister who has been devastated about the incident had to cut short his trip abroad.
According to an informed source, Adewole Junior was trailed to his farm in Iroko near Fiditi in Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State, where he was kidnapped at gunpoint
“The villagers were alerted by the staff who survived the ordeal. Local hunters were mobilised by the Oniroko of Iroko.
“The hunters were said to have located the car of the abductors along the road to Iware village near Iroko.
“But they are yet to locate Dayo’s whereabouts.
“It was suspected that the kidnappers might have changed their vehicle following persistent announcement on radio after Oniroko had raised the alarm on air,” the source said.
Our checks confirmed that other security agencies, including soldiers, police, civil defense and other security apparatus have joined forces in the search for Adewole.
The victim is a graduate of Agriculture who has since opted into farming rather waiting for a white collar job or federal jobs courtesy of his father’s position in the country.
He was said to have been managing his farm peacefully in Iroko village until his abduction yesterday.
