Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu Set To Begin Health Work In Lagos State

Lagos First Lady, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, over the weekend, revealed her preparations to work in collaboration with medical practitioners to stimulate initiatives in various fields to benefit Lagos residents.

The wife of Lagos State Governor, who is also a medical doctor by profession, made this known when she received the leaders and members of Lagos State Chapter of Medical Women Association on a courtesy visit.

Ibijoke, while addressing the medical practitioners, said that she would work in tandem with the association to implement more initiatives for the betterment of the Lagosians.

“In the area of health screening, that is one thing that we really capitalize on especially in the Medical Women Association,” she said.

“We did a lot during the campaign period too on cervical and breast cancer screening and let me use this opportunity to assure you that we would be willing to further partner to ensure that more people benefit from it.”

Sanwo-Olu further commended the group for their laudable work and their valuable service to humanity and urged them to continue their service to the people.

Dr. Bakare, who led the delegation to the Lagos State House, thanked Ibijoke for the good reception accorded the association. She also congratulated the First Lady and her husband for taking the leadership of the state.
