Yemi Osinbajo Arrives New York On A 4-Day Visit

The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has arrived New York after leaving the shores of Nigeria on a four-day visit to the United States.

Osinbajo was received by the Nigerian Ambassador to the US, Justice Sylvanus Nsofor, at the John. F. Kennedy International Airport at exactly 5:38 am [Nigerian time] on Sunday.

The Vice President is scheduled to meet with Mike Pence, Assistant to the President of America on Foreign Relations. According to the presidential spokesman, Mr Laolu Akande, the Vice President and Mike Pence were both guests at a prolific event tagged "A conversation with the Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo: Nigeria Economic prospects."

Osinbajo is expected to be a solitary speaker, exclusively speaking on Nigeria's economy, the business cycle and investment opportunities for foreign investors. Also, he would be touching on the just concluded general elections.

The Vice President is basically going to educate the Council on Foreign Relations [CFR], the host of the event, on the state of the nation, Nigeria.

Mr Akande also said: "There will be an indoor meeting on Wednesday between the Vice-president, Yemi Osinbajo, and Mike Pence to discuss matters of mutual benefits between Nigeria and US in a bid to strengthen the political and economical alliance.”
