Burna Boy wins big at the Black Entertainment Television [BET] Awards which held on Monday, June 24.
The self-proclaimed king of Afro-pop, Damiani Ogulu, best known by his stage name Burna Boy, has bagged another major award after dominating the Sound city Awards.
The BET Awards is an event that celebrates black people and the 2019 edition was held at the Microsoft Center, California.
The "On the Low" singer attended the event with his mum and girlfriend, Stefflon Don. He emerged winner of the 'Best International Act' topping the likes of Giggs [UK], AKA [South Africa], Aya Nakamura [France], Dave [UK], Dosseh [France] and compatriot, Mr Eazi [Nigeria].
This recent success tops off an exceptional 2018. The artiste now joins the elite gang of Nigerians to have won this award. The list includes 2baba, Ice Prince, D'banj, Davido and the record holder, Wizkid, who has won it the most times by any Nigerian.
2019 is becoming an exciting year for Burna Boy. After releasing two fire songs titled 'Killin Dem' featuring Zlatan Ibile and 'Dangote', he went on to perform at Coachella in April. Today he has bagged a major award. What next, Burna? Grammys? MTV?
