The sacked Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, on Tuesday declared that she is still a serving Judge of the Federal High Court.

Justice Rita Ofili made the declaration when she appeared before Rilwan Aikawa of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, where she was charged with money laundering among other things.

The embattled justice through her counsel, Chief Robert Clarke, challenged the court ruling to hear her trial, adding that her dismissal by the president was not approved.

Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, a couple of months ago, picked Ofili at the Lagos High Court during a court proceeding.

She was re-arraigned on 18 counts, which she pleaded not guilty to before the presiding judge.

Responding to the case, the counsel to the EFCC, Oyedepo, urged the court to consider the commission’s evidences before the court and dismiss ofili’s application, objecting the issue of gazette.

The Judge, after listening to the two parties, adjourned till June 28 for the ruling.
