Wale Tinubu meets President Muhammadu Buhari and Aisha Buhari in Abuja.
The sacked Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Oando Oil, Wale Tinubu, met with President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha, at the state house in Abuja recently.
The meeting, according to informed sources, was made possible by his uncle, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is also the National Leader of the ruling party.
Part of the reasons for the meeting was to urge the president to intervene in the ongoing sanction of Securities Exchange Commission on Wale and his co-management team.
At the moment, Tinubu and Mofe Boyo are still struggling to reclaim their seats as Chief Executive Officer and Deputy of Oando Plc.
This is as a result of the recommendation by the commission to sack them and prevent the two helmsmen from parading themselves as directors of the public company for five years.
The sacked directors have since started a court action against the recommendation and have luckily got a favourable injunction against the move.
The commission, however, has countered the move and pushed for the execution of its recommendations.
Many believe Wale may get some succour after meeting with the president. .
