Ooni Of Ife Visits Dublin, Attends International Art And Craft Festival

Dublin stands still for Ooni of Ife, as he attend the Tell Africa International Art and Craft Festival.

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has arrived home after spending a week in Dublin, Ireland, where he attended the 2019 Tell Africa International Art and Craft Festival tagged “Uniting the world while sustaining the Africa identity.”

The event, organised by Ms. Gbemisola Taiwo, was used to promote African cultural facts and values across the globe.

The week long visit accommodated several activities. Ooni, during the festival, met with Africans in the diaspora and Ireland government officials in a bid to strengthen peace and unity between the two countries.

Oba Adeyeye also paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Embassy following the recent occurrence in London.

The Arole Odua also visited selected museums and the Ladyewell Shrine. He attended the maiden inauguration of Arole Oodua Competition and watched the football match between Afro Stars FC and St. Kelvin FC organised in celebration of His Imperial Majesty’s visit.

The trip marked the first time Ooni would visit the Republic of Ireland after assuming the throne.

He had earlier made international trips to the United States, United Kingdom, Cuba, Canada and some other countries around the world to foster peace and unity among the black race.
