Lauretta Onochie, the aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, urged the police to launch an investigation into the rape allegations against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, who earlier today stepped down as the senior pastor of the church.

Onochie said this on Sunday during a peaceful protest where he urged the embattled pastor to step down.

“He raped me – Busola. I didn’t rape her - Fatoyinbo. What is the police waiting for to invite this alleged rapist for questioning?” Onochie asked.

“This may lead to a polygraph or lie detector, telling us who is telling the truth.

“Police should pick him up, same way you’ll pick up an accused poor man.

“What I don’t understand is why Nigerians are calling on the alleged rapist, Biodun Fatoyinbo, to step down as a Pastor.

“Pastors are above board and above suspicion. He was never a Pastor. What we should be doing, is calling on the police to invite him for questioning,” she added.

Checks revealed that several activities lined up for the church have been suspended indefinitely over the foregoing.
