A dependable source close to some aides of President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Yemi Osinbajo, are said to be groaning silently over the nonrenewal of their appointments.

The federal government have ceased payment of salaries since their appointments expired on May 29,2019.

Their May and June salaries were not paid following their appointments which are yet to be renewed.

Presidential appointees were expected to leave office at the end of the president’s tenure on May 29 because their appointment letters stated May as termination date of their services in office.

The president who, on Tuesday, just released the preliminary ministerial list for approval by the National Assembly is yet to renew any appointment of the presidential aides after taking a new oath of office about four weeks ago.

Some of the aggrieved aides who are yet to be called up are now wondering why the presidency allowed a few to continue serving the government and this has now generated confusion.

A group of lawyers are said to have taken up the matter, saying that the status of some of the presidential aides is controversial.
