There was excitement today as Sanwo-Olu declared Thursday a toll free day at Lekki and Ikoyi.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday declared tomorrow, Thursday, July 11, a toll free day for Lagosians, especially Lekki residents and many plying the routes along Ikoyi, Lekki, Ajah and Admiralty way.
The governor made this known while addressing the media after a tour of Lekki-Ajah and Victoria Island axis following reports of incessant flood and traffic gridlock.
Sanwo-Olu said that the decision was taken in a bid to examine the causes of the gridlock, flooding and proffer solutions to the problem.
The two toll gates, according to the governor, will be opened freely between the hours of 6:30 and 9:30 in the morning while the evening break will commences at 4:30pm and end at 8pm.
