Dangote, Otedola vow to spoil the Super Eagles with dollars.
Following the victory over South Africa and booking the semi-final ticket at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the super Eagles have received pledges of more dollars from two of Nigeria’s richest men.
While Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, promised $50,000 to the winning team for all goals that will be scored in their remaining matches at the tournament, Otedola made a pledge of $25,000 dollars for every goal.
Apart from these pledges coming from the sports loving Nigerians, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Wednesday night after the victory, urged the team to be focused, tactical and scale through the two remaining matches.
Otedola, this year, has single-handedly supported Nigeria’s sport icons in different capacities.
He paid the hospital bill of the ailing goalkeeper, Peter Fregene, and ex-Nigerian international star, Christian Chukwu, in London.
