In an industry like Nollywood where greed, ingratitude and envy have become the order of the day, it is truly beautiful to see an established actor appreciate a fellow colleague who helped teach him the ropes when he was still a newbie.

Yul Edochie took to his Instagram page to show his appreciation to fellow actor, Nonso Diobi. According to Edochie, between 2005 and 2006, he decided to relocate and venture into acting. He stayed at his uncle's place, which was quite a distance to the location where he would audition and meet producers.

He met Diobi on one of those days on set. Back in the 2000’s, Nonso Diobi was a big celebrity known for his "lover boy" roles in old Nollywood movies and his sonorous voice for singing in epic movies. Sadly, the one-time big actor is not so popular anymore.

He has been struggling to revive his career after taking a break from acting, probably to set up a business, as is typical of people from that part of Nigeria.

Edochie recounts how the other actor invited him into his home, fed him and linked him up with some producers without complaining or making him feel unwelcome.

The actor turned politician, today, has done great for himself, as he is gradually beginning to fill the huge shoes of his veteran actor father, Pete Edochie. He successfully runs his own acting academy, giving young ones the opportunity to enter into the industry.
