1. It results in bacterial infections
Women who hold urine for a long time are prone to several bacterial infections that affect the urinary tract, including meningitis, encephalitis, and salmonella. This can occur only because of germs present in our urine that accumulate in the bladder over a long period of time.
2. It Increases the chances of kidney stones
When you hold on to pee for a long time, it increases the chances of developing kidney stones. Kidney stones are deposits of acid salts and minerals which stick together in concentrated urine, which can cause severe pains when passing urine through the urinary tract.
3. It leads to severe urinary tract infections and bladder infections
Holding your urine for too long can result in urinary tract infections or even bladder infections. It is, thus, important to stop the habit of holding your urine.
