Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi has warned his boyhood club, Arsenal that he may be forced to quit if they sign Wilfred Zaha to take his place.

Zaha is reported to be Arsenal's main target this summer as the Gunners look to improve their squad for next season.

The Ivorian winger is valued at £80million by Crystal Palace but Arsenal are hoping the London club would lower their price so they can get their man.

If Zaha joins Unai Emery's side, it is sure to affect the youngster who enjoyed a good Africa Cup of Nations tournament where Nigeria finished third.

"I am not one to chicken out. I have had it all over the years, being told I'm not good enough," the 23-year-old told The Sun.

"So whenever the chance comes I always try and prove I should be starting. But it's going to be difficult if Zaha comes. He will add more stress.

"I am up for the fight but the only time I would consider leaving is if I am not playing as much as I would like to.

"If it comes to that I would have no choice but to leave. But I would always put up a fight to play — that is what I have done all my life."

Iwobi has been at Arsenal since 2004 when he joined the club in his primary school days. He made his first-team debut in 2015 and has gone on to play 149 games, scoring 15 times.
