Davido Dragged to Court Over Alleged N4,000,000 Fraud

Popular Nigerian singer, David Adedeji Adeleke also known as Davido has been dragged before Igbosere Magistrate Court 2 for an alleged fraud of N4, 000,000.00 (four million naira).

According to reports, a member of Always on Cash Records record label, Andre-Tejiri Ochuko Ibhihwiori paid the sum of four million naira to feature Davido in January, 2019.

The US based upcoming artise, Tejiri paid the aforementioned sum to Davido and his personal assistant.

There has been no record of the music, thus the matter was reported as fraudulent

As at May 23rd, 2019 the matter was brought up for mentioning at the Magistrate Court 2 Igbosere as number 16.

Defendants in the suit marked MCL/702/19 are: David Adedeji Adeleke (Davido) and his Personal Assistant: Busari Idris Temitiope (Alias Aloma) and; Davido Music Worldwide Limited music label.

The matter has been called before Court initially, but no one acknowledged it, neither the defendants nor the claimant came. Even their lawyers were also absent to represent them. Therefore, a plea to the court for a substituted service which was also granted.

Davido has some options on his hands, some of which are going into full Litigation or seek out for court settlement with the claimant. The claimant also demands an interest at the rate of 15% on the principal sum since the day of payment.

With all these in play, the Court has decided to adjourn the case to the 23rd of August for report of service and commencement of trial.
