Arsenal forward, Alex Iwobi has denied reports that quoted him to have said he would leave the Gunners if they brought in Wilfred Zaha.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the Ivorian international, with Emery looking to improve his squad ahead of next season.

Zaha is reportedly valued at £80 Million by Crystal Palace but Arsenal are yet to meet or even near the Eagles valuation of the player.

However, reports by various media outlets on Sunday were that the player has decided he could leave the Arsenal if the deal to bring Zaha goes through.

Iwobi has now reacted to those reports. The 23-year-old instead insists he would welcome the addition of world-class stars to the team to aid the team's progress.

"Fake news and click bait! I don’t know why some newspapers enjoy twisting words. I hope we sign world-class players at Arsenal and progress as a team. I’m looking forward to the new season," Iwobi wrote on his Twitter page.

Iwobi who is still on an extended break from Arsenal's pre-season tour after helping Nigeria finish third at Afcon only renewed his contract with the North Londoners in August 2018 to keep him at the club until 2022.
