Rape Saga: IG Orders Fatoyinbo, Dakolo Case Transfer To Lagos     

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the transfer of the Dakolo/ Fatoyinbo rape case to Alagbon, Lagos.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the case between Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (C0ZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, and his accusers, Mr and Mrs Timi Dakolo, to be transferred from Abuja to the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Femi Falana, the singer’s lawyer, disclosed the new development to the media on Monday.

The prominent human rights lawyer said he had spoken with the Inspector General of Police concerning the case before it was transferred to Lagos.

“The IG has ordered that the petition of the Dakolos and that of Pastor Fatoyinbo be consolidated.

“He has further directed that both petitions be investigated at the Force CID, Alagbon, Lagos, since the Dakolos’ petition was first submitted in Lagos,” Falana said.

In addition to the new development, Frank Mba, the Public Relations Officer of the Police Force, in his statement on Monday noted that the new move would ensure a speedy, fair, thorough and impartial investigation into the case of rape which indicted the Abuja based pastor, Fatoyinbo.

He added that a DIG has been asked to take over the petition made by Fatoyinbo against his accusers, the Dakolos

Fatoyinbo is expected to travel from his base in Abuja to Lagos till the conclusion of the case.
