Jonathan Loses 300 Milion Naira Jewelery to Domestic Worker
The Bayelsa State Police Command has nabbed two suspects in connection with the looted valuables worth 300 million Naira belonging to the former President Goodluck Jonathan.
A relative of the former president was said to have connived with a domestic worker to perpetrate the act at the country home of former president in Otuoke in Bayelsa State.
The suspects it was learnt gained access into the mansion to steal valuables such as jewelries, customized walking stick running into millions of naira.
The former First Lady while commenting on the issue expressed her displease at the theft.
A security source who confirmed the incident also insisted that a house help and a family member of the family were involved in the theft.
It was not done by outsiders.The suspects have been working for the former first family. They decided to help themselves.One of them is a domestic servant, who is responsible for keeping the key to the room where the treasures were kept. The other ones share relationship with former President Jonathan.I know that the police arrested some of them. I don’t know the monetary value of the stolen items. Only Patience Jonathan can say the value. They are already making useful confession to the police and money from the proceeds is being recovered,
the source, who spoke in confidence, said.
