Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, on Thursday met at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

They both had a long discussion after the presidential policy retreat at the Aso Rock.

We are yet to confirm whether the meeting was an indication that they settled their political differences or not.

Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari; Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State later joined them in the discussion

Recall that in the last few weeks, the two have locked horns on supremacy battle on who controls the political structure of the state.

The crisis later degenerated into monumental controversies, with several Edo State House of Assembly lawmakers-elect loyal to the former governor not being inaugurated.

Before the intervention of the presidency, the Speaker of the Green Chamber, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, had last week threatened to declare a state of emergency in order to foster peace and harmony in the state.
