Today marks thirteen days since the 76-year-old mother of the ex-Super Eagles Coach, Samson Siasia, was abducted with two other women in her home in Bayelsa State.

Her abductors, on July 15, 2019, invaded Siasia’s family compound in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state to kidnap the aged woman before escaping through River Nun into the creeks.

The gunmen contacted Siasia, demanding a ransom, but the former Super Eagles international responded that he was broke.

While negotiations are still ongoing, Mrs Beauty Siasia and two other victims, Florence, 65, and her daughter, 17, are still languishing in the kidnappers’ den.

Uche Anozia, the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, on his visit to the family house of Siasia disclosed that preparations are underway to rescue the victims.

“The police tactical team is on top of the game to rescue the victims. I am assuring the public and the victims’ relatives that no stone will be left unturned.

“We have deployed the police marine component in the creeks in the area. The command will continue to work hard to take control of the marine landscape in the state,” he said.
