Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has gone spiritual over his re-election bid, sources say.
Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is presently making moves to retain his seat as the governor of the state come November 2019.
Over 20 governorship candidates, including the popular Kogi born politician, Senator Dino Melaye, are battle ready to send him packing from the Kogi State House in Lokoja.
However, in the face of several threats to his aspiration of getting a second term ticket, Bello has devised a spiritual means to fight against forces behind his re-election bid
In the last few weeks, the embattled governor has held series of night vigils with the state’s religious leaders in his office and at home in a bid to win the election.
But there are indications that the governor may not win the election following the recent protest against his administration.
Many took to the streets in the state capital on Monday with placards and coffins, signifying an end to Bello’s government.
