Ministerial Screening: Fashola gets Senate’s approval.
The Senate, on Monday, resumed the ongoing screening of ministerial nominees with Babatunde Fashola in spite of the several petitions flying around to remove him from the ministerial list.
The former Lagos State Governor has been accused of performing below expectations on Ogun State and Lagos State roads.
Appearing before the Senate, Fashola gave account of himself and presented the scorecard of his previous portfolio at the Ministry of Works, Power and Steel.
Other nominees screened along with Fashola included Geofrey Onyema (Enugu State), Maryam Katagum (Bauchi State), Clement Agba (Edo State), Suleiman Adamu (Jigawa State), Goddy Jeddy-Agba (Cross River), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun State), Sen. Gbemisola Saraki (Kwara State), and Dr Muhammadu Mahmoud (Kaduna State).
The screening is expected to continue today with Lai Mohammed from Kwara State, Saleh Mamman from Taraba State and Sabo Nanunu representing Kano State.
