Lagos Assembly Completes Screening Of Sanwo-Olu’s Nominees     

The Lagos State House of Assembly has ended the screening of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s nominees.

The 16-man Ad hoc committee of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Saturday completed the screening of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s nominees for the positions of commissioners and special advisers forwarded to the house for drilling.

The committee, headed by Hon. Rotimi Abiru, representing Somolu Constituency 11, had commenced the exercise on Thursday and completed it on Saturday.

The screening which took place at the Lateef Jakande Auditorium of the Assembly Complex in Ikeja had 25 nominees.

Among them were Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Princess Aderemi Adebowale, Tunji Bello, Adekemi Ajayi-Bembe, Dr. Wale Ahmed and Prof. Akin Abayomi.

Others were Hakeem Fahm and Gbenga Omotoso. Bolaji Dada, Lere Odusote, Moyo Onigbanjo (SAN), Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf and Segun Dawodu.

The last batch of the screening had Folashade Adefisayo, Ponnle Ajibola, Dr. Rabiu Olowo, Olatunbosun Alake and Samuel Egube.

Abiru, after the exercise on Saturday, expressed satisfaction over the competence of the nominees selected by the governor.

“We have screened all the 25 nominees of his Excellency,” he stated.

“Most of the nominees displayed brilliance and understanding of the workings of government. The outing was not bad but of course.

“At the end of this exercise, we will prepare a report and forward to the House of 40 for a final decision to be taken by then, and we will know who among the nominees will make it to serve in the government.”
