The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has left Nigeria for Saudi Arabia to observe this year’s Hajj.
The Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan, has left Abuja for Mecca to join millions of Muslim faithfuls around the world to observe this year’s Hajj.
According to a statement released by his media aide, Ola Awoniyi, on Monday, Lawan would use the opportunity to pray for peace, progress and the unity of the nation.
“He would also pray for the success of the 9th National Assembly, who are now on recess to engage in constituency activities for the development of the country,” Awoniyi said.
The Senate President is expected to return home immediately after the Hajj.
