To observe this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the Federal Government has declared Monday, August 12, and Tuesday, August 13, public holidays.
The Federal Government, on Tuesday, declared Monday, August 12, and Tuesday. August 13, public holidays to mark the 2019 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
Georgina Ehuriah, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, on behalf of the Federal Government made this disclosure.
Announcing the break, Ehuriah urged Nigerians especially the Muslim faithfuls and Nigerians in the diaspora to embrace peace, sacrifice and virtues of love and humility during the celebration.
She noted that security agencies under the ministry have been directed to ensure adequate security, before, during and after the celebrations.
