Arsenal have announced the sensational transfer deadline day capture of defender David Luiz from Chelsea.
In what would rank top on the list of the most shocking transfers this summer, the Brazil international completed the move in the final hours of the transfer window in England.
News of a switch for the 32-year-old first broke out on Wednesday when sessions training at Chelsea's training ground in Cobham on Wednesday.
The former Benfica man links up with Unai Emery whom he played under while at Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
"David has huge experience and I look forward to working with him again. He is a well-known player and adds to our defensive strength, " Emery said of the club's new number 23.
Luiz, Arsenal's second signing of the day would be the direct replacement for former Arsenal captain, Laurent Koscielny who left the Gunners for Bordeaux this week.
The transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
