Popular Nigerian social media content creator, Gloria Oloruntobi, popularly known as Maraji, is the centre of a heated religious debate on social media after her comments on Instagram.
The skit maker is dividing religious opinions after she shared posts that have been described as 'insensitive' by many of her followers.
Maraji, a practicing Christian, had posted a screenshot on her Instagram page on Sunday that had a part of it read: “There is no Allah, no Buddha, no Krishna, no evolution, only Jesus".
She then followed up with a screenshot of her chat with one other person, where she defended passionately what she had posted earlier.
Her posts didn't go down well with many of her followers, who accused her of trying to cause religious fracas, although other members of the Christian community sided with her.
Muslims in Nigeria and other parts of the world celebrated the Eid Kabir on Sunday and it was on that premise that a lot of the people against her criticized the timing of the post she tagged as "truth".
A few persons have, however, argued that there was nothing wrong with the timing of the post, as it was on a day that Christians worldwide have set aside for worship.
The arguments from both camps have been heated on micro-blogging platform, Twitter. Here are a few tweets from the thread:
