Funsho Akinwale

Former Ambassador to Namibia, Dr. Biodun Nathaniel Olorunfemi, is dead.

President Muhammadu Buhari, while condoling with the late Olorunfemi’s family, friends, relations, as well as his diplomatic community, commended the exemplary life of the late envoy.

In a statement released by Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser (SA) on Media and Publicity to the President, the demise of “the re-engineering technocrat” was described as a great loss to Nigeria.

Olorunfemi, according to Buhari, left an indelible imprint on many corporations and businesses that were under performing.

The late Ambassador served as the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and assembled technocrats to develop the blueprint for the effective administration of territory as a mega city, before becoming an envoy. He was also the brain behind the successful development of the Solid Minerals sector in the country.

The late technocrat served as Ambassador to Namibia from 2012 to 2015.
