The UEFA Super Cup game, which officially opens the European football season is just a few minutes away.

Both Jurgen Klopp and Frank Lampard have made three changes to their respective teams as they look to win their first trophy of the season.

For Liverpool, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain and James Milner come in for Divock Origi and Georgino Wijnaldum, while Joe Gomez is moved to right back to give Trent Alexander-Arnold a rest. Joel Matip has been brought in to partner Virgil van Dijk.

The big news for Chelsea is the including of Ngolo Kante from the start of the game after fears of another injury setback, the Frenchman replaces Ross Barkley.

Olivier Giroud and Christian Pulisic were substitutes in the 4-0 defeat at Old Trafford but they get the nod ahead of academy graduates Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount.

The game which will be played between last season's Champions League winners, Liverpool, and Europa League champions, Chelsea will be played in Istanbul, Turkey.

Both sides had defeated English teams in the finals of both competitions at the end of last season. Liverpool were comfortable winners against Tottenham Hotspur, winning 2-0 against the Pochettino's men in June.

Chelsea on their own part blew Arsenal away in the second half of the Baku, Azerbaijan final, with Eden Hazard putting in a man of the match performance in his final game for the Blues.
