The former Governor of Edo State and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, recently stated that the Nigerian media was responsible for the rift between himself and Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Oshiomhole made this assertion to newsmen at his Iyamoh residence in Estako West Local Government Area of Edo State where he observed the Eid-el-Kabir celebration with members of his cabinet.
Insisting that the gathering with his cabinet members was not politically related, the former Edo State Governor noted that he was always in touch with Obaseki.
“From time to time, we have always been meeting. It is not an unusual visit, the meeting afforded me the opportunity to meet with my brother and with people I have worked with,” he affirmed.
Refuting claims of a rift between himself and his successor, Oshiomhole insisted that the Nigerian media began the rumours for their personal gain.
