Tunde Balogun, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos, on Saturday disclosed that politicians, technocrats numbering about 600 applied to be commissioners and special advisers in the cabinent of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Balogun, in his disclosure, noted that the governor worked tirelessly to select the best among them in his bid to foster good governance in the state.
“I received CVs from 600 people who applied,” he said.
Balogun expressed delight at the governor’s nomination of three members of the State Executive Committee of the party; Party Secretary, Dr. Wale Ahmed; Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe, and Mrs. Toke Benson Awoyinfa.
He said the nominees, who will be sworn into office in a few days, will work as a team to resolve the challenges confronting the state.
Balogun further noted that the commissioners-designate possessed experience, sound pedigree and integrity, adding that they will not fail the state.
