Body odour is an unpleasant smell that oozes from either the body or the underarm. It is embarrassing and tough to deal with. The best way to deal with it is to learn the many ways to prevent it. Below are six ways to prevent body odour.
1. Use hydrogen peroxide
You can use hydrogen peroxide to clean your underarm once in a while. Mix a spoon of hydrogen and a cup of water together to clean your armpits with cotton wool.
2. Apply antiperspirant regularly
Apply antiperspirant regularly, at least before going to bed. This will enable it to work faster and it will prevent you from sweating. The chemical agent present in antiperspirant helps to reduce sweating and if your antiperspirant contains deodorant, it will help mask your body odour.
3. Always stay dry
It is important to keep your armpit dry. If it is always wet, it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. They don't breed in a dry area.
4. Always wash your gym outfits
Sometimes, we might be too tired to wash our gym clothes and end up storing them. This is not advisable, as this is the easiest way to breed bacteria and increase your chances of having body odour. It is best to wash your gym clothes regularly.
5. Watch what you eat
Some foods can increase your chances of having body odour. Strong smelling foods like onions, garlic and so on can increase your chances of body odour.
6. Shave regularly
Keeping your underarm clean regularly will prevent bacteria from accumulating. It will also reduce odour and sweat.
