Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to inuagurate state executives on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will swear in commissioners and special advisers on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
The governor fixed the formal inauguration for Tuesday after the State House of Assembly concluded the second batch screening of nominees last Friday.
The successful nominees, according to informed sources, have been invited for final appearance and possible confirmation by the Lagos State lawmakers in preparation for tomorrow’s inauguration.
A statement released on Sunday by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile, quoted the governor to have said that the inauguration would hold on Tuesday.
The governor made the disclosure when he received members of the Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries.
“Tuesday, by God’s grace, we are swearing in all other complements of cabinet and also permanent secretaries to have the engine of governance in full swing.
“At that point, we believe that all the campaign promises we made can come to reality and Lagosians can benefit more from the choice they made at the last election,” he said.
