Shehu Sani may head to the Appeal Court after losing at the Tribunal.
Former Senator Shehu Sani, on Wednesday, lost his case at the National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Kaduna State.
The court dismissed Sani’s case challenging the victory of the elected and serving Kaduna Central Senator, Uba Sani, of the All Progressives Congress.
Justice A.H Suleiman, the Chairman of the Tribunal, dismissed Shehu’s petition on the ground that it lacked merit.
Frank Ikpe, the lead counsel to Uba Sani, praised the ruling as appropriate, urging his opponent’s counsel to appeal the judgement if he was not satisfied with the ruling.
Speaking in the same vein, Senator Uba Sani’s lawyer, Barrister Abdulra’uf Atiku, hailed the tribunal for fair judgment and thanked all those that contributed to the success of the case.
There are indications that Senator Shehu Sani may appeal the case, according to some close aides.
