Pogba Finally Reacts To Racial Abuse Against Him

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has finally responded to the racial abuse hauled at him earlier this week.

The Frenchman was racially abused on Twitter after the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw against Wolves in the Premier League on Monday at the Molineux.

Pogba had missed a spot-kick during the game that could have earned United all three points after Ruben Neves had equalised Anthony Martial's first-half strike.

Following his miss, some angry fans took to the micro-blogging platform to vent their anger, with some abusing the 26-year-old with his skin colour.

But Pogba who had kept mute about the matter all through the week has finally reacted. The former Juventus man tagged those who are involved in the disgusting act as ignorant while stating that their abuse would only make him stronger.

"My ancestors and my parents suffered for my generation to be free today, to work, to take the bus, to play football," Pogba wrote on his timeline.

"Racist insults are ignorance and can only make me stronger and motivate me to fight for the next generation."

The abused aimed at Pogba was the second against a Premier League player in less than a week after Chelsea forward, Tammy Abraham, had suffered same fate following his penalty shootout miss in the UEFA Super Cup against Liverpool.

Marcus Rashford was also abused this weekend after missing a penalty in United's home loss to Crystal Palace.
