Kidnappers release Anglican bishop’s wife after paid ransom.
Anuli Maduwulike, wife of the Bishop of the Anglican church, has regained freedom after she was kidnapped on her way to Owerri.
She was released on Monday after an undisclosed amount of money was paid by her family to be released.
Anuli’s kidnappers immediately demanded 8 million naira after the abduction but she was not released until Monday after their demands were met.
“God has answered the prayer of the Church; the wife of our Bishop has been released,” a source said.
“She has reunited with her family and we are all happy.
“The Church was thrown into mourning by the unfortunate incident and we went into prayer and we are happy that God has answered us.”
