The draws for the 2019/2020 UEFA Champions League season held today(Thursday) in Monaco and the 32 qualified teams now know their group stages opponents.

Some really interesting match-ups have been fixed with some teams drawn against some more recent does.

Liverpool will begin their defense of the title they won in June in a group that has Italian side, Napoli, Red Bull Salzburg of Austria, and Belgium pro-league champions, Genk.

Last season's surprise package, Ajax have been drawn with Frank Lampard's Chelsea, Valencia and Lille.

Manchester City's chase for a first Champions League title continues. Pep's team will fight for the two Round of 16 tickets with Shakhtar Donetsk, Dinamo Zagreb, and newcomers, Atalanta.

La Liga Giants, Barcelona, and Real Madrid got fairly easy groups that they should navigate through but Atletico Madrid would come up against Cristiano Ronaldo led Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, and Lokomotiv Moscow.
