Shamsuddeen Dambazau, the son of former Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, on Friday lost his federal lawmaker seat to the Kano State Petition Election Tribunal.

Before his sack, he was representing Sumaila/Takai Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.

Delivering the judgment on Friday, the tribunal ordered INEC to issue certificate of return to the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Surajo Kanawa, on the ground that Dambazau Jnr. did not contest in the election but only emerged second in the APC primaries through Federal High Court.
