The Inspector General of Police, Adamu Muhammed, has ordered the arrest of Shi’ite leaders nationwide.
The Inspector General of Police, Adamu Muhammed, on Saturday ordered the arrest of all Shi’ite leaders across the country.
He added that their structures nationwide should be dismantled with immediate effect.
The police boss’ directive was made in a bid to stop the Islamic group from violating the proscription of the group by the court.
You will recall that before now, the police arrested 54 Shi’ite members after the July 22 violent clash between the force and the IMN members in Abuja. The clash led to the death of many, including a corps member attached to Channels TV.
