The Lagos State Government has presented the family of the late LASTMA official, Folashade Arogundade, with a cheque of 10 million naira.
The family of the late LASTMA official, Folashade Arogundade, received a cheque of10 million naira as compensation for the death of the young woman who died in the line of duty.
The deceased, who was dedicated to her job until her death, was killed by a truck on May 25.
Her remains have since been buried in Lagos.
In addition to the 10 million naira cheque, a cheque of N3 million was also handed over to the deceased’s family while a N2 million cheque was given to her husband.
Tunde Babajide, the husband of the deceased while receiving the cheque from the Lagos State Government, thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for fulfilling his promises and for his visit to the family during the burial.
The LASTMA officials, who were also part of the presentation of the cheque to the family, said Folashade’s service would be forever missed and was highly regarded by her colleagues as a hardworking officer during her lifetime.
