Tiwa Savage pulls the plug on DSTV festival organisers.
Following the recent xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other Africans living in South Africa, Tiwa Savage has cancelled her performance at the DSTV delicious festival coming up on the 21st of September this year.
Some embittered South Africans took to Instagram and Twitter to bash her for making the decision, with a few claiming they have no idea who Tiwa Savage is and her performance cancellation would make no impact whatsoever on the slated festival.
The songstress, in some other posts, has explained that the decision wasn't solely based on the killing of Nigerians but the killing of other Africans residing in South Africa who are looked down on as minorities.
She responded to a person who claimed that she had no fans in South Africa that the issue of xenophobia is quite serious and no one wins at the end, insisting that all Africans, including the South Africans killing others need each other to progress in life.
Fans have trooped to Tiwa's page to applaud her patriotic stance with her country and Africa at large and for using her platform to speak out on the ills plaguing Nigerians in diaspora.
