Last week I saw a tweet by a young lady who said and I quote: "I am too petty to take sorry if you wrong me... I will do my own back before I forgive you."
Many other tweeps jumped on the tweet and their response was in total support of her disposition! So it got me thinking: "What exactly is forgiveness to our relationships with each other?"
Is this her system of "an eye for an eye" what is applicable and acceptable nowadays? What is that thing that someone will do to you that's unforgivable? What will this world be like without forgiveness?
Two years ago, someone called me to anchor a wedding event. After the event, he refused to pay me a dime and I later discovered that it was his plan from the beginning to use me and not pay! I know how pained I felt! But I got over it and forgave him eventually.
We've all been hurt by people at least once in our lifetime. How did you deal with it? Were you forgiven as the faulty one? Is saying "sorry" enough to clear all wrongs?
