Bestie alert as Tiwa squashes bad blood between herself and Yemi Alade
It is no longer news that two female African music giants from Nigeria, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade have been at loggerheads for years.
Fans argue that both women fought bitterly over the throne as queen of the African music industry.
Over the years the duo have engaged in several social media fights, from the size of their female body parts to the accusations leveled against Tiwa Savage by Yemi Alade, saying she marginalised the music industry, making it unbearable for other female musicians.
The fight went on for several months with Kenyan artist Victoria Kimani taking sides with Yemi Alade against Tiwa Savage who stopped defending herself against these accusations.
These artists have somewhat been in a cold war for months, without mentioning their arch rival’s names, neither have they shown support for each other in the music industry.
In light of the recent wave of xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other Africans, Tiwa Savage decided to exemplify her stand for peace among Africans by burying the hatchet with Yemi Alade. She went on to praise her latest body of work called ‘Home’.
Yemi Alade recently released her documentary called " Home" showing her musical journey, this came a few weeks after she released her new album.
Tiwa uploaded Yemi Alade's art poster for the documentary "Home" on her Instagram and Yemi reposted on her page. She also expressed how proud she was of Yemi Alade’s musical achievement.
Clearly the duo have reconciled and are friends again and we hope to be blessed by a future music collaboration between them.
Fans are thrilled at this turn of events.
