Former Nigeria international, John Obi Mikel is currently being trolled on social media for posting a fake Ruben Neves quote on his Instagram page.
Apparently, Mikel had come across a quote credited to Wolves midfielder where he eulogized him as a 'professor' of football.
The quote read: "Back in Porto, we were given DVD's of John Obi Mikel to take home and study everyday. We used to call him the professor of football."
Happy that a fellow professional was seemingly impressed by his game, the ex-Super Eagles captain shared a graphics of the quote with the caption 'I am honored'.
The quote was, however, confirmed to be a fake tweet from a Twitter user from six months ago and now users of the micro-blogging platform a now having plenty of laughs over the situation.
Mikel spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge between 2006 and 2017 where he won 2 Premier League titles, 1 Champions League, 4 FA Cups, 1 Europa League, and two league cups. He made 372 appearances for the blues.
