Peter Obi, the Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Friday lauded the effort of the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace Airlines, Allen Onyema, for his kind gesture of making provisions to airlift helpless Nigerians trapped in South Africa.

The former Anambra State Governor dropped the hints during an interview with newsmen on Friday at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos.

Obi, in his address, appealed to Nigerians in South Africa to come together as brothers and sisters to assist one another, especially those already affected by the attack.

He also asked the government of South Africa to compensate all those affected by the crisis against their earlier stance of not giving any compensation to the victims.

The former banker ,who had earlier cancelled a scheduled trip to South Africa, appealed to the government at all levels and well-meaning Nigerians to support those affected by the crisis.
