300 Nigerians registered for evacuation from South Africa.
Fresh reports reaching Happenings Media confirm that over 300 Nigerians have registered to be evacuated from South Africa, following the approval given by the federal government that those interested in leaving the country should show interest and be evacuated free of charge.
The move is against the incessant attacks on Nigerians living in the country in the past few weeks.
Ferdinand Nwoye, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Friday disclosed that 300 Nigerians had registered for the exercise, adding that the time and date of departure would be disclosed later.
The federal government and several meaningful Nigerians have appreciated the effort and support of the Chairman of Air Peace, Chief Allen Onyema, for the provision of aircraft to evacuate Nigerians wishing to return home on account of the xenophobic attacks.
