Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Friday, affirmed that he would win the governorship election scheduled to hold November 16.

The governor made the affirmation over the weekend a few days after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, at the state house in Abuja.

Bello noted that he was prepared for the election even before the Presidential and National Assembly elections in February.

He also assured everyone of a free, fair and credible election.

“As regards preparedness, I have been ready for this election even before the last general election.

“So, we are well prepared. As for victory, I think by the grace of God, it is assured,” Bello said.

Bello was returned last week by his party, APC, to re-contest for the state governorship.

He scored 567 votes to defeat other candidates.
