Tribunal: Ifeanyi Ubah floors Uba brothers.
The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Awka, the Anambra State capital, upheld the election of billionaire businessman, Ifeanyi Ubah, as the Senator representing Anambra South at the National Assembly.
Ubah, candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) defeated the prominent Uba brothers, Chris Uba, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) respectively.
Challenging Ifeanyi’s victory, the two brothers had petitioned the tribunal, stressing that the election was characterized by violence and irregularities.
After a thorough investigation by the panel and pleas made by Ifeanyi’s counsel, the court eventually declared him winner of the seat.
