Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is set to represent Nigeria at Mugabe’s burial ceremony today.
Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the Vice President, is presently in Harare, the Zimbabwe capital, to represent President Muhammadu Buhari at the state burial scheduled today for the late President Robert Mugabe.
Other African leaders and Heads of State expected at the funeral at the country’s National Stadium in Harare are President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa.
The long serving prime minister and later president of Zimbabwe died last week at the age of 95 in a Singaporean hospital.
Osinbajo, who left the country with a few senior government officials on Friday for Harare, is expected back in Nigeria later today.
